The park is situated in the Eastern part of the city, on the highest point from the center of Oriahovo, from where it has a view over the entire coast of the Danube and of the Romanian city Beckett, on the other part of the river.
The park of the Bulgarian – Romanian friendship is situated in the eastern part of the city from the Danube. It was created in the years 1959 – 1960 and in it is situated the famous Statue of Freedom, executed by the sculptor Arnoldo Zocchi in 1882 for perpetuating the memory of the Romanian soldiers who died for the liberation of Bulgaria from under the Ottoman domination.
