In 1858 was built the Postal Office in Vidin. It is a massive stone building with two floors, which is located near the former telegraph on the Danube’s shore. It is built from a mixture of lime and sand covered with Turkish tiles. It has an open hos, a wooden staircase located to the hall of the second floor. The ground floor of the postal office was built with vault. It is the only preserved old postal office in Bulgaria. It is the work of the Bulgarian masters from Debar, Macedonia. The building of the postal office, in 1878, was used for the boys highschool and later for the archeological collection. The Turkish Old postal Office in Vidin is a monument of culture.
