Darovets dam is situated in the suburbs of Stara Planina, near Veliko Tarnovo. It is also known as Koevets and Hmela. Next to this is a paved road. The basin area is seen as one of the favorite places of robbers. Borovets name comes from, “donation”, but once here prayers for rain were made public. The area is preferred for walk by the inhabitants of the surrounding villages.
