Dimitar Sholev work of the architect, was conceived as a Church-Monument-Mausoleum in 1910 and consecrated in November 1924. It is one of the most beautiful churches in Bulgaria. The wood sculpture of the iconostasis and of bishop’s throne was carried out by Stefan Stoyanov, a graduate of the schoo of Tryavna. The mural painting belongs to Professor Apostol Hristov. The four bells were donated by Russian Tsar Alexander II, after the liberation of Bulgaria. The largest is the third largest in Bulgaria and weighs 1500 kg with a height of 1.10 meters. The belfry, where are the bells, is 20 meters high.
